Sunrise and Sunset<\/span><\/strong>
\n\t\tRaymond A. Waugh, Sr.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunset, we exult, is the hour of rest;
\n\t\t   Little birds seek before darkness their fragile nests.
\n\t\tLads who for adventure set out to roam;
\n\t\t   In the twilight hours turn wayward feet toward home.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But we, amidst earth’s recurring sunset splendors,
\n\t\t   Seek not a tenuous place to moor
\n\t\tOur fragile temples of mere clay;
\n\t\t   In the waning sunlight hours, we just simply pray.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

After the sunset comes the twilight —
\n\t\t   After the twilight comes the night.
\n\t\tThough darkness try to hold its mortal prey,
\n\t\t   He who won at Calvary still holds sway.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Thus, the sunset hour brings rest and peace;
\n\t\t   The twilight does our confidence increase;
\n\t\tFor we know that as we span the night,
\n\t\t   Through faith we can bask in God’s eternal Light!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

O glorious dawning, we can forever intone,
\n\t\t   When our triumph over darkness shall be won;
\n\t\tUnending, then, our praise for Christ shall be,
\n\t\t   As in the sunrise of tomorrow we rejoice eternally!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
