The Lord above sends down His Love,
   Deep in the Heart of Texas!
His Love, my friend, can know no end,
   Deep in the Heart of Texas!
The Angels, too, are concerned for you,
   Deep in the Heart of Texas!
And hearts made new can live so true,
   Deep in the Heart of Texas!

Let’s call to mind, the gift sublime,
   Deep in the Heart of Texas!
Christ Jesus came and took our blame,
   Deep in the Heart of Texas!
He died for us upon the cross,
  Thousands of miles from Texas!
Arose that Day, the Only Way
   To Heaven from the Heart of Texas!

This Light of Life can end all strife,
   Deep in the Heart of Texas!
If Heaven’s Light makes your way bright,
   Deep in the Heart of Texas!
Come, then, and give your heart and live,
   Deep in the Heart of Texas!
And you will know God’s Endless Glow,
   Deep in the Heart of Texas!
